La Escondida

The house will embody the spirit and character of Mexican contemporary “casual elegant” architecture. Bold accents of color and materials, interplay of light, and the relationships with the outdoors and indoors are to be the governing design direction. An open airy spaciousness on the interior of the house is achieved where possible. The house marries the old with the new in capturing the essence of the site and partial remnants of the original house. The design captures views to Lake Hodges to the southwest. A rooftop terrace will serve as an outdoor living room.
