Ouchi Courtyards

An infill site with two sides fronting major streets. Imperial Avenue to the front and Holly Street at the back. The Imperial Avenue side creates an urban wall with a plaza which creates an urban gateway gesture of the project. At Holly Street a more subdued approach is taken with the project terracing back and creating a smaller scale façade into the community. The project is divided up into several row home components which are joined by courtyards and plazas. This series of interior open spaces give opportunity for a richness of experiential qualities.
