The Shops - Market Creek Plaza

Scope:

Phase-1 (two stand-alone retail shops buildings: Building ‘4’=16,500 SF (10 retail spaces with restaurant hook-ups; supermarket (57,590 SF Food-4-Less); parking for 393 (ADA and standard spaces);

Phase-2 (3-stand-alone retail kiosks: 1,300 SF; 2-stand-alone retail buildings (Starbucks and Wells Fargo); 1,250 SF each with shared drive-thru.

Site Area:

(Gross Acres 20, Net Acres 8.2); Total Gross Leasable Area: 51,000 SF (GLA); Retail Shops Area: 37,000 SF of (GLA).

The project is located in the multi-cultural diverse community of Southeastern San Diego. The corner of Market Street and Euclid Avenue is emerging as a significant community hub. The project captures the multicultural heritage of the Southeastern community. The shapes and bold forms, color and character was derived from an extensive series of community workshops.

To the west the shops face Chollas Creek and the Community amphitheater. Within the project are a series of community art opportunities.
